Have you ever heard of Zoho Forms? If not here is an amazing way to take advantage of forms online!
Not everyone has a website, but sometimes you just need a form to collect information. Maybe for a party, trip, event or anything you can think of. You can even use these forms to make a survey, take payments, invoice, bug report, human resources, applications, the list goes on!
I was working on another site of mine where I enroll students in a church school, which is a legal avenue to homeschool in Alabama. I needed to set up an online enrollment option for my parent’s, so, their enrollment would be fast, without the hassle of waiting on paperwork to come through the postal mail.
One of the cool things about Zoho Forms is not only the forms but the simplicity of customizing it. There are a variety of Themes to choose from. You can include background, header, page header, font, etc. You can even change the shape of the boxes that get filled out by giving them round edges, drop shadow, dotted, thick or thin. There are so many options. Plus, yes, it gets even better! You can add your own custom images to the form if you prefer that too. The theme customization area has clipart you can choose from as well.

Besides the fact, you can create awesome easy drag and drop forms, but you can customize templates for PDF forms. If you have a long form, you can actually shorten it right up using a customized template. It’s so easy. I have created a video to explain this more. You go to Settings on the form you’re creating at the top of the page, then click on Document Merge >> Configure Zoho Documents. Next, you’ll be given an option to create your own template that’s blank or you can select one of the premade templates. I had to customize and create a blank one for my use.
The above image I changed the boxes you fill out to have rounded edges, I also made the description under Registration Italic and made the header text (Registration) bold. It’s really an amazing site with a lot of options to help you create forms and receive emails for each form submitted. Once the form’s template has been made you can go to Settings>> Email & Notifications and you’ll have to click to configure it. I don’t change anything in the boxes that pop up and just configure it. You’ll then see an email pop up and below it are some options to select. If you want to receive a copy of the new template with your email in a PDF you’ll select Attach Merged Document! If you don’t select that you won’t get the PDF you specifically created, but you’ll receive a generic one. Either way, they’re both pretty awesome.
They do offer a FREE account for you to try with no CC required. It won’t hurt to give them a try. I did and I am thrilled! If you’d like to see my forms in Action head on over to AlabamaChurchSchool.com and go to Online Enrollment. Don’t submit the form though. LOL For real! 🙂 but check it out. There are five forms and after each one is completed you’re sent directly to the next form. I have a Church School Enrollment Form, Family Information Form, Policy Agreement Form, Release Form, and then a Payment Options Form, which is more of a description with two options to select from (new enrollment or re-enrollment).
I suggest you go to Zoho Forms You may just find something you love!
Overall, I give Zoho Forms a 5 Star Rating because honestly, they’re really amazing! I’m so happy I found them, they have made my life so much easier. My families can fill out a form and submit payment so much easier now. I have used a lot of forms in my 20 years online and this one has so many easy options to choose from. I just can’t believe it took me so long to find them. I cannot even begin to tell you, but I’m a HAPPY Camper and honestly couldn’t ask for more!
I also made a video to show you step-by-step how easy it is to set up a form and a customized template for PDF, as well as setting up a custom domain.
