So, hub’s is on the night-shift as some of you may know, he has been for almost two years. It’s a nightmare sometimes, but it’s okay and we’ll live through it. But, one night I’m in the middle of washing a load of laundry and suddenly, I heard the washer making a humming sound and water was spilling out of the underside. I panicked and grabbed all the sheets because all my towels were in the washer! Well, I got that mess all cleaned up and well, laundry was on hold, because I’m not about to kill myself over some damp towels. Now, I have double the laundry to do!
So, we go to Aaron’s Rental to get our stuff, because we’re not the kind of family who can afford to just go out and buy something outright. I do wish we could though, it would be nice to not have the extra payments. But, they’re affordable. We have both, our washer and dryer from Aaron’s and EACH one are $47.85 a month. It’s not too bad, although no payment would be better! 🙂
This is what happens when you’re a grown up! I remember when I couldn’t wait to be grown up and now “If I could Turn Back Time” in my best Cher voice! That’s not going to happen, though. Anyway, what kind of washer did we get? Well, we got the same brand as our dryer. Maytag Bravo MCT HE washer. I will be honest, it’s taking some getting used to because the cycles are a lot longer, it’s a little bothersome on how little water goes into the washer, but that’s just different for me. I’ll get used to it! I will say this washer has fill lines for detergent and fabric softener. That will help me save money on soap too! I always wondered if I added too much or too little.
It washes the clothes really good and I will say I’m happy with it for now, but I do miss the older style washers. I am not accustomed to changing. I was forced just like with our dryer. Our dryer actually can have water connected to a steam drying! Imagine that. We have yet to hook that part up. Do you have a steam dryer too? If so what’s the purpose?
Oh, I also wanted to tell you that we have been renting from Aaron’s Rental since 2007, we have paid off six accounts since then and have two active accounts currently. Two of the items were refrigerators. The first fridge we bought was used and we paid about $300 bucks outright for it. A washer and dryer, a king size bed, a living room set, and now another washer and dryer. I just wish they reported to credit like they say they will. When we paid off the last fridge, they never reported it. Other than that, we have no complaints. Everything we have bought at Aaron’s has been brand new, other than the first fridge and the king size bed. We actually just replaced the mattress on that bed.
Thanks for making our lives easier, Aaron’s Rental!

Been washer shopping so I appreciate your post. I concur – older washers were better. Loads of negative reviews on the newer, high-end washers. A couple that suggested a rock & stream were better than their new machines. Ouch! I’d looked at the Maytags. The reviews seem encouraging.
