Low Carb Swiss Steak!
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp heinz reduced sugar ketchup

1 1/4 cup beef broth

2 – 3 ounces of chopped onion

1 diced roma tomato

2 tbsp of thick and saucy

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp kiva smoked hot paprika

1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
-
1/2 tsp oregano
-
4 small steaks
-
1/8 c bacon grease
Directions:
Start by getting all your ingredients ready, chop your onion, then tomato, you can put all your seasonings in a lil dish if you want.
Sprinkle the thick n saucy on both sides of the steaks and beat them on both sides also. Sprinkle the rest of the thick n saucy on the steaks and lightly beat them some more. Heat the bacon grease up and sear the steaks well, they don’t have to be cooked through yet.
Remove steaks from pan and put onions in the leftover bacon grease and saute till almost translucent. Add ketchup and all seasonings, mix well add the tomatoes and beef broth. put steaks back in the pan and be sure to push them under the sauce.
Bake for 2-4 hours at 325 degrees. I baked it a long time because my husband was late! It didn’t burn and was freaking delicious as could be!
Serve with a low carb side of some sorts or just eat the meat!
