Quick Simple Salmon Patties!
So I made some salmon patties tonight, it’s been years since I have made them and that was seriously back in 1990’s some time. We were a lot younger than and we were staying with one of my husbands friends. He was an old Drunkard who cooked food on the stove for days! I cleaned his house and cooked dinner for them. He would start a pot of beans on the weekend and leave them on the stove on the lowest temp for a week! I found it disturbing, but whatever floats a persons boat, I’m not eating that shit! So anyways a nice little weird story about salmon patties, beans and an old drunkard! lol
Want to make some salmon patties too>?
Ingredients:
3, 5 ounce cans of chicken of the sea salmon
1.5 tsp onion powder
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp NuSalt (Amazon has 12 bottles for $15.95)
2 eggs
Cooking:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil for frying.
Directions:
Open the cans of salmon and drain, you need to really drain ALL of the water from it. Put all the ingredients but the EVOO in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined and then shape and fry. Now these can make several sizes it ends up being around 14 oz of product. So just depends on how you shape and size them. I got about 10 out of mine. but they were around the size of sausage patties.
Amazingly my son said these reminded him of fish sticks so next time shaping them will be done! lol so I can get him to eat these bad boys. They were too thick for him, he had regular fish sticks.
I didn’t do the nutrition on these.
