Chocolate Candy Sweetened w/Xylitol
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp MorningPep Xylitol
2 tbsp bakers cocoa
Extracts of your choice!
Directions:
Melt butter in microwave, add Xylitol and stir until it won’t dissolve any more then nuke 30 seconds, but WATCH IT! You don’t want it to burn! I had to do this twice to dissolve Xylitol. Once it’s pretty much smooth add cocoa powder and mix well, then add coconut oil.
I made 4 total candies, 2 are chocolate, 1 chocolate almond and 1 chocolate orange.
These have .5 net carbs each!
So how would I rate the Xylitol? Well I must say it’s pretty darn good! We really liked the candies and they turned out better than when I use syrup! I was very pleased with the sweetness that was added. I used some in my coffee this morning too. It sweetened it right up and melted better in a hot cup of coffee.
The benefits of using a product like MorningPep’s Xylitol is made in the USA and I love that fact alone! It’s perfect for coffee, tea, baking or even cereal! This stuff looks just like sugar and tastes pretty much like it. There is a slight difference, but not bitter that’s for sure! It’s 40% lower in calories than regular sugar. Not to mention it’s Kosher, FREE of GMO, Corn, Gluten, Soy, Dairy and Wheat!
It’s considered safe for Diabetics, low calorie not that I count calories lol, but also low carb and low glycemic index!
All in all I really enjoyed using it so far and have been using it in my coffee and working switching the hubby to this! 🙂 Make the whole house sugar free! Now that sounds like a Winner right there!
Here is your chance to win some of this amazing stuff! Good luck!
