Faux Flatbread or Faux Arepa! #LowCarb
Sometimes you just want something different in the mix. I really wanted something different and I made it!
Low Carb Faux Flatbread or Faux Arepa!
- This is a super simple recipe and delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 TBSP Almond Flour
- 3 TBSP Parmesan Cheese (the kind in the can)
- 1 TSP Vital Wheat Gluten
- pinch of garlic powder (onion powder, nu-salt and pepper.)
- Combine well and then spread on a hot skillet and fry!
I will do this again and bake them and update this later about how long and so forth.

Just try leaving it out, I’m sure it would still work without the wheat gluten. I know it’s not up everyone’s alley, but I wanted to give it a shot. 🙂

You can add any seasonings or whatever you like. I had no problem with with these at all! I definitely didn’t taste just salt and egg. 🙂 have a lovely day!

Made this for breakfast and put a fried egg on top! It was delicious! Love the texture! Like a savory pancake!
