Large Batch Maple Bacon Ice cream #Enough4Family #6Servings

Well, that maple bacon ice cream I made a few days ago turned out to be amazing. My husband was like this is just not fair that I get these tasty desserts.  I told him, but you eat carbs and sugar, you shouldn’t eat that plus all this fatty deliciousness! He’s been trying to do more sugar-free, though. Which, I’m super happy about that. He is a Redbull drinker and he found sugar-free Redbull. He gets the Gold Peak diet tea, it’s sugar-free, too. He does have dang bread though, still. I’m gonna start getting that Sara Lee bread or Nature’s own. It’s lower in carb like 14 carbs for two slices. It’s better than 15 carbs per 1 slice and like almost 30 for 2 slices.  That bread is a bit more expensive. but I think it would be worth it for him and my son. We used to buy it, but I kept eating it. I’m not for any bread today. At all! I haven’t had anything with grains. 🙂 🙂 🙂

So, let’s get to this recipe. I basically made a larger batch of that single serving.

Maple Bacon Ice Cream (Larger Batch)

  • 2 C Land O' Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 C Great Value Half n Half
  • 1 tbsp Maple Extract
  • 3 tbsp Swerve Confectioners
  • 1.5 tsp liquid sucralose
  • 4 slices applewood smoked bacon, cooked & chopped
  1. Start by placing your heavy whipping cream, sweeteners, and maple extract in your mixing bowl and start whipping it up.

  2. You don’t want it to be thick like whipped cream, just start to thicken slightly, start to slowly stream in the half n half until it’s all mixed in.

  3. Taste and make sure you like the flavor! If you feel it needs something, add it.

  4. pour into a freezer safe bowl and freeze for at least 6 hours.

  5. In the meantime, make the bacon and chop, it up a let it cool completely. Don’t forget to drain the grease off of it!

  6. after it reaches a thick consistency, you simply add the bacon and stir it up. place it back in the freezer. I ended up making it at 7 am, by 1 pm I was able to add the bacon. I ended up forgetting about it and napping. Waking up after 12 am.

Yep, I had some it’s amazing!
