Baked BBQ Chicken!

Now let me start by saying this is a delicious Baked BBQ Chicken! It was so good my husband couldn’t stop eating it! Thankfully I made 4 pieces of it. I used 4 chicken thighs with skin.

Ingredients:

4 chicken thighs

BBQ Sauce:

1 tbsp of AlternaSweets.com LC BBQ Sauce
1 tbsp cary’s sugar free maple syrup
1 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp lemon juice
pinch of cayenne

Seasonings for chicken:

1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp cayenne (optional)

Directions:

Bake chicken for 1 hour un-covered and preferably on a rack. I seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder & cayenne powder and baked at 350 for 1 hour. Then I turned it up to 375 just let it cook while you make the sauce up. In a bowl mix BBQ Sauce, syrup, mustard, lemon juice and cayenne I just stirred together with my sauce brush. Pull the chicken out and brushed on the BBQ Sauce and baked for 10 minutes, didn’t do what I wanted so I put it on broil for around 3 to 5 minutes. It came out wonderful!

I just ate a couple hard boiled eggs with mayo for my side. I’m trying something 🙂

    Chicken is a staple in our house. I like some BBQ, but hubs doesn’t like any of it. So I look for other ways to flavor it. This does sound good and I am a fan of hard boiled eggs. Eat them all the time.
