“Faux” McDonald’s Hashbrowns!
I decided to make a LCHF Chicken and Dumplings and it didn’t turn out at all! LOL Damn it man!!! But I went for something else. I thought I’m a fry this dough up!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Morning Pep Almond Flour
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp HWC (heavy whipping cream)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum
- pinch of onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper
- 2 oz Bacon Grease
Directions:
Start by heating a pan with about a tablespoon of the bacon grease in it, on low!
Put dry ingredients in a dish and whisk together until all the ingredients are mixed. In a small bowl, crack your egg and add the heavy cream to it and beat them together. Add the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. It will be thick and pasty! You won’t want to use the whisk, use a fork or spoon. I just used a regular cereal type of bowl, not a big mixing bowl or nothing. Make 4 balls of “dough” and then flatten the best you can without it falling apart cause it’s sticking to your hands. You could do this with cling wrap too, that would be easy to peal off too! Fry till crispy and brown on each side and then set on paper towel to cool a little bit and serve with eggs.
I made scrambled eggs and cheese with mine.
Approximately 1 carb per piece. (if you use the specific almond flour)
Why did I call them “Faux” McDonald’s Hashbrowns? Because it tasted a lot like them! It was a mistake remember lol and a good one!
